Post  raf_cap88 on Sat Jul 31, 2010 8:04 am

This course is basically:

1) A history of all the famous architects, such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Alvar Aalto and Mies van Der Rohe, and all its creations.
2) First part of the course will cover specific buildings, while 2nd part will usually cover cities.
3) 2 assignments, 1 midterm and 1 final(When i took it in 2009). 1st assignment would be a description(essay) of an architect and its work. Second one would require you to produce a poster of a building.
4) The coolest midterm ever!!: U will be given half an hour to answer theories, and another half an hour would be given to u to go out, and answer questions based on a nearby building( near victoria college)
5) Final exams are not so hard. IF u really study. lol

Why u should take it?

1) its an interesting course, different from others
2) class will be in a beautiful hall( forgot its name) in victoria college
3) u don't really have to go to class to excel
4) 3 textbooks for about 110 dollars
5) u'll learn cool new "architecture" words

Why u shouldn't take it:

1) U have no interest at all in architecture
2) u suck in memorizing
3) U dont want to write an essay in your finals ( there will be 2/3 long answers)
